This version is an ad free, printable and convenient PDF version of the pattern available on my blog. This pattern is available in English only and uses standard US crochet terminology.

The Bavarian stitch uses a combination of basic crochet stitches to create an outstanding effect similar to mosaic tiles. This pattern might look complicated at first, but after you complete rounds 1-4 you’ll understand how it works. The pattern includes step-by-step pictures for each round to help you better visualize the stitches.

Trivet: approx. 12” x 12”, coaster: approx. 6” x 6”.

•Yarn: 350 yds of any DK weight yarn.
• Hook: 3 mm.
• Notions: Scissors, darning needle, stitch marker.
