The Beanie uses the Bavarian Twisted Stitch that is one of the traditional styles of knitting that originated in the Bavarian region of Germany. The twisted stitch is a simple variation of knitting cables without a cable needle.

Finished Sizes: Small-Medium and Large-Extra Large. 16” (41 cm) 18” (46 cm) circumference and 7 ½” (19 cm) 8” (20 cm) high.

Yarn: Knit Picks Capra DK yarn, 85% Fine Merino Wool, 15% Cashmere, 50gms, 123yds, Color: Platinum. 2 balls.

Needles Sizes: US Size 7 (4.5mm) 16 inches circular (cir). Use Size 6 (4mm) for the brim if you want the brim snug. Set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Marker (m), tapestry needle, pom pom maker (optional).

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in st st on larger needles.
