Baxter the Paperboy
Baxter the Paperboy is a small dog character inspired by Victorian London and the Sherlock Holmes books.
This pattern is beginner-friendly and designed to be as low-sew as possible. All parts are crocheted first beforehand and then are crocheted directly onto the body, so there’s very little sewing needed.
It includes detailed step-by-step instructions with lots of helpful photos and tips.
The finished Baxter is about 18 cm (7 inches) tall when made with cotton yarn (8/4) and a 2.5 mm hook.
You’ll need some basic crochet stitches (single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain, half double crochet) and a few materials like safety eyes, buttons, and fiberfill.
I wrote this pattern because I love creating little characters that feel alive and are kind of edgy and cute.
