This bonnet is designed for babies up to approximately 2–3 weeks old. It is worked flat on straight needles, seamed in the back, and finished with small cat ears. The pattern also includes an optional single crochet edging around the face line and neckline for extra stability and a better fit.

The white fur accent inside the ears is optional. You may also use lace, a small bow, or leave the ears plain.
