Bay Day Tank
Ready to hit the beach? The Bay Day Tank will take you from beach days to happy hour and everywhere in between. Featuring a high crew neckline, waist shaping, and optional bust shaping for the perfect fit, you’ll whip this up in no time and be wearing it all summer long!
Materials
- Fingering weight yarn or any yarn with which you can match gauge Sample used Blame the Knots For Sure Fingering in Goodnight, Dear Void (437 yds / 100g)
- US G /4.0 mm crochet hook (or hook size required to meet gauge)
- US 7 / 4.5 mm crochet hook (or one hook size larger than main body hook) for ribbing
- Several removable stitch markers
- Darning needle
Gauge
18 stitches and 15 rows = 4” / 10 cm in hdc worked flat or in the round, blocked on US G /4.0 mm hook
Sizing
1, 2 (3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8) (9, 10, 11) with a finished bust circumference of 28, 32 (36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56) (60, 64, 68)” / 70, 80 (90, 100, 110) (120, 130, 140) (150, 160, 170) cm
Meant to be worn with approximately 4”/ 10 cm of negative ease at the fullest part of the bust.
Size up for a more neutral fit or down for a tank with more negative ease.

Construction
Pattern is constructed top-down, beginning with the upper back panel. Stitches are picked up to add front left and front right shoulders. Front shoulders are joined with fhdc stitches and the rest of the front panel is worked. Front and back panels are then joined in the round to finish the body. Neckband and arm edging are added at the end.
