The BE MY BABY mittens are knitted from the cuff to the tip and feature an elegant cable pattern and a thumb gusset. The beautiful yet easy cable pattern keeps the knitter engaged all the way to the tips of the mittens.

Approx. 200 m / 220 yds of fingering-weight yarn and 200 m / 220 yds of lace-weight yarn. Knitted holding both strands of yarn together.

Sample knitted with:
1 skein of Aara Kuura (210 m / 230 yds / 50 g, 100% non-superwash Highland wool) and 1 skein of Aara Hieno (420 m / 460 yds / 50 g, 64% kid mohair, 36% silk), both photographed in colourway Metsälauha.

NEEDLES

3 mm / US 2.5 DPNs or long circular needles if using the Magic Loop technique.

NOTIONS

Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, cable needle or DPN.

GAUGE

21 sts and 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch using 3 mm / US 2.5 needles (after blocking).
