This is a versatile design, shown 2 ways – with plain sides
as a tote and with pleated sides as a purse, and with an
optional “buttonhole” closure. The pattern is knit with one
strand of 2 different color yarns held together throughout.
I’ve used one strand of 2 colors held together to add a
“tweed” effect to the body of each bag. Add some store-bought handles, a bow, ribbons, buttons, needle felting or
a jewelry pendant as a closure. The color choices and
embellishments are suggestions. Use your own creativity
and enjoy.
