This crescent shaped asymmetrical shawl makes an elegant addition to any wardrobe. The versatile shape makes it easy to wrap around yourself on those cool summer evenings, or add some sparkle to make a great evening wrap. The blue/purple sample was made with 3 skeins of hand dyed 4 ply merino and is so soft and snuggly and has a wonderful drape.
Using 2 skeins (400m each) of main shade and 1 skein (400m - although not all used) of contrast made a very generous size wrap with a wingspan of 140cm and depth at the widest part of 94cm. These sizes can very easily be adjusted to make your wrap bigger or smaller.
Tension is not vital for this but mine was approx. 22dc(US) to 10cm.
This wrap could be made in any 4ply yarn or indeed any yarn. One of my testers did a version using double knit and made a wrap over 7 feet long!
Whatever size you decide to make I hope you enjoy it and please share your pictures in our Facebook Group - where you can also get any help (or just come along & chat!)
