This shawl holds a special meaning to me, as I wore it on my own wedding. The delicate Alpaca yarn has the perfect drape to crochet an elegant shawl to match an equally elegant dress. The rocailles that are crocheted in the fabric add a bit of weight to the shawl, preventing it from slipping off your shoulders and enhancing the drape even further. I’m loving it and I hope you will too!

Used stitches (US terms):

  • beaded sc: beaded single crochet, see techniques section
  • ch: chain
  • sc: single crochet

The pattern includes a crochet diagram and a photo tutorial for the beaded sc. It’s suitable for beginners who are not afraid to work with finer yarns (you use it double stranded though).
