Beads and crystals are strung onto crochet thread before work is begun. More on this in pattern instructions. 2 earring hooks or studs are also needed to complete this pattern.
Any crochet thread can be used. Use a smaller hook for smaller thread, making a smaller snowflake. A metallic thread would be pretty as well and wouldn’t require beads to make it special.
