The Calin beanie is a warm hug for your head.
It gets its name from the French word for Hug.

It is knitted in the round.
The pattern begins with a long section of ribs, created using a single string of yarn and needles size 8, folded in half to form a double-layered brim, that will snug on your ears.
Then, you will knit a double string of yarn for the head, using needles size 10, and design classic cables and mock cables.
Once the head is completed, you will start decreasing progressively until you close for the crown.

We are using 100% Merino wool, worsted weight here.
We recommend using circular needles size 8 and 10, in 24 in (you need both), a cable needle, a row counter, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle at the end.

The results is very stretchy, so it can fit a wide range of heads:
from children (7/8 yo) to adults.
It is quite thick, warm, stays in place and gives an elevated look based on simplicity and texture.

You need about 3.2 / 3.5 oz of yarn.
