Beanie No. 7
Beanie No. 7 is a light and soft hat with decorative i-cord edges. A double-folded brim at the bottom adds extra fullness.
The hat is worked from the bottom up, with the top shaped using decreases. The decorative edges are added at the end.
The hat is unisex and can be knitted for women, men, and children.
SIZES
XS/S (S/M) M/L
MEASUREMENTS
To fit a head circumference of: 53-55 (55-57) 58-60 cm 20.75-21.5 (21.5-57) 22.75-23.5 inches.
The model has a head circumference of 56 cm and is wearing size S/M.
RECOMMENDED NEEDLES
Circular needle 5.5 mm US 9, (40 or 80 cm) 16 or 32 inches.
Circular needle 5 mm US 8, (40 cm) 16 inches or double-pointed needles 5 mm US 8.
Remember that the needle size is a guideline. Therefore, make a swatch before you begin.
GAUGE
In stockinette stitch using 5.5 mm US 9 circular needles.
15 stitches / 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm 4 x 4 inches.

50 (50) 50 g Soft Silk Mohair, Knitting for Olive, 25 g / 225 m

The beanie is worked with three strands held together: two strands of Soft Silk Mohair and one strand of Merino.
The sample shown is worked in three different colors to create more depth and a sligthly marled effect.
The black version is worked with two strands of Soft Silk Mohair, Knitting for Olive and one strand of Merino, Knitting for Olive. All three strands are in the colour ‘Licorice’.
