Meet the Bear, the first friend in our forest adventure. This square features a bold, architectural bear silhouette created using only knit and purl stitches. It’s a rhythmic, meditative knit that results in a beautiful, squishy texture—perfect for blankets, washcloths, or home decor.

Pattern Details:

Skill Level: Beginner. This pattern is a “knit and purl” design (no complex stitches required!). It’s perfect for practicing chart reading or for a relaxing project where the texture does all the work.

Size: Approx. 8.5” x 8.5” (depending on yarn/tension).

Instructions: Includes both a full chart and row-by-row written instructions.

Note on Borders: The main pattern instructions (35 stitches) do not include the garter stitch borders. General instructions for adding a 4-stitch garter border are included in the PDF.
