Bear Creek Trail Cardigan
by Adele Hamey
This cardigan is knit from cuff to cuff with just one seam. The sweater begins with cuff ribbing on the right sleeve, in the round, and then a pattern of cables and seed stitches up the sleeves and across the front and back bodice. BO stitches are used to shape the neckline. After both sleeves are completed the upper back is grafted with a Kitchener stitch. The body stitches are then picked up along the lower edge of the bodice. After short rows are created on the back, the body of the sweater is knit in a garter rib pattern to your desired length. The sample used two yarns held together, but a light worsted yarn will work.
