This Bear Paw headband is an easy pattern for new knitters interested in expanding their skills with stranded colorwork techniques and knitting in the round.

The Bear Paw symbolizes protection. As a New Mexican, the bear paw has always been a very important symbol to me and my family. This pattern was designed for my grandparents who always loved and cared for me. They always made sure I wore my bear paw to stay protected as I lived around the world. For them, I made this headband so that my loved ones and everyone in the world may stay protected, especially during these unprecedented times in the world.

This headband functions as an ear warmer for those cold wintry nights as well as a wondrously cozy gift for loved ones. This headband is also great for camping, hiking, or even a long winter stroll.

This pattern comes with a colorwork chart and step-by-step instructions. The headband/ ear warmer is knit in the round on circular knitting needles.
