Bea’s Cable Twist Sweater is a simple yet beautiful cable-knit sweater with raglan increases. It is worked seamlessly from the top down and has a relaxed, comfortable fit.

The sweater features an easy and repetitive cable pattern: knit two, purl two, with a small twist every now and then. All cables twist in the same direction, making this a beginner-friendly cable project.

You can choose between soft alpaca or robust wool – the same pattern and gauge, but with a completely different look. The sweater can be knitted in Wollevo Alpakka Air held together with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk, or in a similar alpaca blow yarn such as Drops Air, Sandnes Kos or Rauma Puno. It can also be knitted in pure wool, for example Rauma Vams.

Sizes: S – M – L – XL

Gauge: 14 stitches = 10 cm

Needles: 5 mm or 5.5 mm, depending on your gauge.

Yarn amount:

Alpakka Air: 6 – 7 – 7 – 7 balls

Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk: 7 – 8 balls

Rauma Vams: 10 – 11 – 12 – 12 balls

Cable knitting carries proud traditions through generations. Bea’s Cable Twist Sweater helps preserve this heritage – modern and adapted to our time, knitted on thick needles.

A tribute to knitting and tradition.
