These lightweight gloves add a nice feminine touch to your winter wardrobe. Beads and lace on the front create a decorative effect, while the wool yarn keeps your hands warm in the cold. Perfect for your morning bicycle commute, ice-skating, or an evening out.

Sizing

Woman’s extra-small (small, medium, large)

Finished circumference (measured around hand just above thumb): 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8)” Note that these gloves are meant to be fairly snug—if you are between sizes, knit the smaller size.

Materials
150 (175, 200, 225) yards lace weight yarn. Yarn used in gloves pictures is a 100% wool with 115 yds per 25 g
204 (250, 304, 334) seed beads (red gloves shown use size 6/0 beads)
Stitch holder (scrap yarn or a #2 or smaller
circular needle can be used instead)
stitch markers (2)
12 inches scrap yarn for thumb gussets

Pattern includes CHARTED directions for lace insert, with a custom set of charts for each of the four sizes offered. Line by line (written) instructions for the lace insert are not included at this time.

NOTE: A version of this pattern also appears in Stitch’n’Bitch Superstar Knitting. The two patterns are similar, but not the same. The book version of the pattern is knit to a larger gauge with 4 ply yarn, while the stand-alone pattern is knit with a laceweight yarn.

Updates I’ve had several comments about the fingers in the pattern being too short and have lengthened them accordingly. PDFs purchased/downloaded after March 2011 reflect this change.
