Did you know Beaumont translates into “Beautiful Mountain”?

Have you ever driven through the mountains, marveling at the twisted, stacked layers of rock visible on barren cliffs?
Those very layers inspired the texture of this cowl, and also the name. (Name was suggested by a friend!)

Knit with worsted yarn on 8mm needles, this cowl has a relaxed fit, and can be styled in a variety of ways.
Around the neck only, pulled down over the tops of the shoulders as well as around the neck, or around the neck and up over the head as a hood.

Slight gauge variances will not affect the overall fit of this cowl due to the relaxed nature of the design.

While the pattern calls for two (2) skeins of yarn, the cowl uses only about 1 and 1/3 skeins, leaving you with enough to knit a matching hat!
