The Beautifully Basic Baby Tee is sized 3 months to 10 years, and includes directions for both short and long sleeves, and three different edging options: rolled, 1x1 ribbing, and 2x2 ribbing.

This is a great pattern to use with that special variegated, speckled, or multi-colored fingering weight, since there are no stitch patterns to be hidden by wild and crazy colors. Of course, it also looks great in solids and semi-solids for an instant classic.

Sizes: 3m (6m, 12m, 18m, 2Y) 4Y, 6Y, 8Y, 10Y.
m = months, Y = years.

Needles: US 3/ 3.25mm, or size to obtain gauge, in 16′′/ 40cm and 24′′/ 60cm circular, and 9′′/ 23cm circular or DPNs for sleeves; US 2/ 2.75mm, 0.5mm smaller than gauge needle, for collar, hem, and cuffs.

Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rnds = 4′′/ 10cm stockinette stitch.

Yarn: fingering weight:
Short sleeves: 200 (240, 290, 310, 380) 500, 570, 660, 770 yards / 183 (219, 265, 283, 347) 457, 521, 604, 704 meters; or

Long sleeves: 280 (330, 390, 440, 530) 680, 780, 910, 1050 yards/ 256 (302, 357, 402, 485) 622, 713, 832, 960 meters.
