Beaver
by Cody Lopez
Beavers are often called ecosystem engineers for the important role they have in building healthy homes for other creatures. The dams beavers create help form marshes and wetlands. Wetlands work like the Earth’s kidneys, pulling toxins and pollutants out of the air and water. This allows for more sensitive organisms to thrive in the surrounding areas.
