The Bebel Shaw is the fourth shawl of the It’s all relative collection, inspired by my aunt Izabel, the youngest of my mom’s sisters. She loves everything about nature, from birds to bees and cats to plants. She is one of the most humble and kindest people I know, and this shawl is a simple and relaxing knit as is to be in her company.

With an asymmetrical shape it is constructed sideways, with a combination of garter stitch and mock cables.

The dimensions are adjustable and also the number of mock cables can be altered easily. The pattern’s instructions are written and charted for your convenience.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
130 cm (51 in) width x 60cm (24 in) length - but the pattern is easily adjustable and instructions are provided for altering both the mock cable section and the garter section.

MATERIALS
Yarn: ~460m (~500yds) DK weight yarn (picture features Hilar 100% wool, in colorway Café)
Needles: 4.00 mm (6 US), or size needed to obtain gauge
Other notions: tapestry needle, stitch marker, scissors

GAUGE
20st x 40 rows (20 ridges) in 10x10cm (4x4 inches) in garter stitch after blocking. Although gauge is not crucial to this project, changes in it will alterate your yardage requirements
