This pattern is also available in the “Bee Colony” e-book.

Form a beeline of placemats around the table, or make one longer to use as a runner! Simple repeats allow you to customize the size.

The pattern is worked in mosaic garter stitch with two contrasting colors of yarn (one color strand alternating two rows at a time with knit & slipped stitches)

Choose contrasting solid colors or try a semi-solid tonal yarn for one of the colors. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the pattern will reveal itself. The pattern provides full written instructions with (optional) positive and negative charts for making useful household linens and gifts!
