This pattern makes a beer cozy for a standard 12-ounce beer can, however if you want it to fit a 16-ounce can, then simply add more rows to the body. This is also a great cozy for soda cans.

Can size
The standard size of a beer can in the United States is 12 fluid ounces (355 milliliters). The average dimensions for a 12 oz beer can are approximately 4.83 inches (12.3 cm) in height and 2.6 inches (6.6 cm) in diameter. However, depending on the brand of beer, these respective measurements may vary in size.

MATERIALS NEEDED

To make these beer koozies, just use up your scrap yarn. You can make them in any colours you like.

2 Colours – #4 worsted weight yarn (this is optional, you can do just one colour or many colours, your choice.)
Crochet Hook: 4.00 mm / G6 hook.
Embroidered patch. If you want to add some personalization, you can add a sewn-on embroidered patch. I found mine on Amazon.
Scissors
Tapestry Needle: to weave in your ends.
