The birch tree is a symbol of renewal, of new beginnings. It’s a promise of what’s yet to come. What better reminder, for the new year (or any time of year), that now is the best time to begin. To begin that thing you’ve always wanted to do. To try something new, or rekindle something old. Don’t worry about how it’s going to turn out. The magic is in getting started. Begin!

This accent pillow can be placed anywhere you need a reminder to just begin, already. Its finished size is approximately 35cm (14”) tall by 55cm (22”) wide, although you could make it taller by adding additional rows (instructions are not included for this).

Loops and Threads Charisma Tweed in white is recommended for the main colour because it mimics the colours of birch bark, but feel free to use any bulky weight yarn in whatever colour you desire.
