After several requests, I made a beginner pattern suitable for newbie knitters who want to make a headband for the March for Science.

The pattern for all 3 options (headband, armband, and mug cozy) is here. I rushed it out just a bit - let me know if there is anything unclear (or typos, I hate typos) and I’ll fix it.

This pattern was designed as a knit that is accessible to beginner knitters looking to make and donate items to ProjectThinkingCap.org for the March for Science in Washington DC on Earth Day (April 22, 2017).

I used my new favorite yarn, Deborah Norville’s everyday yarn in Peacock. I chose a this yarn as a midpoint between blue and green, the colors chosen to represent the earth in the March for Science.
