This is a great starter project. You can attempt this after learning the basic techniques for knitting a project from start to finish.
Gauge is a new concept if you are new. And it is important to learn. But if this is a first project, don’t worry about gauge (which is measuring the number of stitches
knit with the type of yarn you are using and the tension of your stitches.) You can learn gauge in future projects. The scarf pattern does not need to be an exact measurement or gauge. You are basically practicing your knitting technique while
producing something cool for all your hard work.
Enjoy!
