Simple beginner-friendly sweater with a relaxed fit.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The BEGINNER’S SWEATER JUNIOR is designed for beginners who want to knit their first top-down raglan sweater. The pattern explains how to knit the sweater with both vest, t-shirt and long sleeves.

First, the yoke is worked, the sleeves are put on hold, and the body is knitted in the round. Then the sleeves are completed, and finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline to create a small rolled edge.

The neckline and sweater edges are finished with 2 purl rows for a delicate detail.

The pattern is simple and focuses on making the knitting process easy and accessible, with instructions and video tutorials for all the necessary techniques. The first pages walk through the pattern and the techniques used. After that, you’ll find the actual pattern instructions. If you’re an experienced knitter, you can skip the introduction and go straight to the pattern.

There are no abbreviations in the pattern. Everything is written out clearly so you don’t need to worry about understanding complex knitting terminology.

EASE
Approx. 15 cm. Measure the widest part of the chest and add 15 cm. Choose the size closest to that measurement, or size down for a more fitted version, or size up for a looser oversized fit.

STRIPES – ON THE BLUE T-SHIRT:
I made stripes every 7th round and knitted 2 rounds in the stripe color.

This pattern is also available on my website for Danish customers.
