The structure of the brioche stitch looks similar to a one-by-one rib, but produces a thicker, squishier fabric that makes for a wonderfully warm and cosy scarf. You can easily add some colour variation by using a multi-coloured yarn and have a bit of fun with some tassels. This pattern is designed for people who are relatively new to knitting and who have not yet done any brioche knitting. It uses chunky/bulky-weight yarn, so it knits up satisfyingly quickly.

The pattern includes detailed instructions on how to knit the brioche stitch used for this scarf, as well as instructions on how to make the tassels.
