The pillow looks as if it were woven, and the Beiroa yarn gives it a slightly rustic look with its irregular strands.

The herringbone stitch is a fairly slow stitch as you will knit two stitches and return one stitch to the right needle to knit it a second time. But that makes it a very dense and sturdy pattern.

You will need two skeins per side of the pillow, which you can either do in one color or combine to a second color for the back. The combination on the photography is Beiroa 536 (salmon color) 685 (dark blue).
