Bejeweled Socks
“Best believe I’m still bejeweled
When I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer” – Bejeweled lyrics by Taylor Swift
Sometimes some lyrics really strike a chord and you hold them
close to your heart. When I’m feeling particularly overwhelmed by
imposter syndrome I like to think about this quote and remind
myself of all the things I’ve accomplished and all the things I have
learned and created. This is the reason I chose this name for this
new sock pattern.
Recently I shared how I have been dealing with burn out and how
it has been a hard time for me creatively because I have been
experiencing self doubt and a lot of anxiety when it comes to
designing. After sharing my experience and receiving so much
support from you, the fear of not being good enough dissipated
and my drive to create came back with full force.
I was reminded that leaving doubt and fear aside, and tapping into
my creativity and just coming back to myself is a very powerful
feeling. Like walking into a room and still making the whole place
shimmer.
