The Bella Light Cabled Poncho is a pleasure to knit, and to wear! It’s the lighter weight ‘cousin’ to the Bella Facile Cabled Poncho,

This poncho is knit flat, in 2 pieces.
Both front and back pieces begin with garter stitch at the bottom edge, and the main body is knit in a pattern of symmetrically balanced cables and moss stitch, framed by garter stitch.

Instructions for front neck shaping are detailed and clearly written. Once the front and back pieces are completed, they are joined at the shoulders; then stitches are picked up around the neck, and the collar is worked in the round, in garter stitch.

Pattern requires approx. 1150 yards worsted weight yarn.
Sample was knit using 6 skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash Effects, in color 02 (Graphite).

Recommended needles include sizes 6 and 8, 24” circular.

Recommended gauge is 4.5 sts per inch, in stockinette stitch.
Although poncho is knit in textured and cabled stitches, gauge is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarn.

Finished dimensions are 24.5” wide x 24.5” long (after blocking).

Skills required include casting on, knitting, purling, basic cabling, decreasing (k2tog and ssk), binding off, seaming, picking up stitches, and working in the round on circular needles.

I hope that you’ll enjoy knitting and wearing this beautiful (bella) light cabled poncho!
