Bella Luna is an elegant crescent shawl that features combination of the simple slipped stitch pattern in the body and the little lace zigzag border. The shawl is knitted top down and has crescent shape.

Few notes about this design:

  • the shawl is reversible
  • there are no purl sts in this design ; -)
  • the top edging is extra stretchy, so there is no puckering after blocking
  • the CO/set-up is done in such a way, so there is no visible hump that sometimes can be seen in the shawls of this shape

Finished Size
After blocking, sample shawl measures 250cm (98 inches) long along the top edge and 43cm (17 inches) deep.

Gauge
The gauge in the body pattern after blocking measures 18 sts x 18 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm.

Yarn
670 yards (612 meters) of MCN Twist by Spark Story (Fingering / 4 ply; 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere goat).
Sample shown in colorway Rum Raisin.
