Bellarine
Bellarine is a simple colourwork beanie knit from the brim upwards. The two colours form a neat little pattern that is perfect for those new to colourwork. This is a snug and close fitting beanie with two options for working the crown shaping; a simpler and a more advanced.
Bellarine is so named for the beautiful Peninsula I reside on. While our winters are mild, the wind can whip in off the Southern Ocean making beanies essential headwear for a winter beach visit. In local Wadawurrung language, it means a place of gathering or resting by the fire.
Construction:
Bellarine is knit from the brim upwards. The two colours form a neat little pattern that is perfect for those new to colourwork. The yarn is never carried more than five stitches and there are “rest” rounds.
