This pattern was created originally created for The Knitting Goddess sock club - the yarn and pattern are now available for individual purchase.

January | Bend and Fold

There is something captivating about twisted stitches - with simple movements straight columns of knit stitches can be moulded into flowing patterns. Bending and curving, folding and shaping - with each round the pattern slowly emerges - holding your attention as you work “just one more round”…

This design is part of my “Twins” series - pairs that don’t match but echo each other instead. Each sock has its own distinct personality but they work beautifully as a pair.

Perfect if you suffer from second-sock syndrome or simply love quirky mismatched socks. Prefer your socks to match? No problem, simple pick sock A or sock B and make a matching pair…

19.5 (22, 24.5)cm / 7.5 (8.5, 9.5)in

Finished circumference (unstretched):
17.5 (20, 22.5)cm / 7 (8, 9)in

Leg from cuff to base of heel flap:
20.5 (23.5, 26)cm / 8.25 (9.25, 10.5)in

The length can be adjusted by knitting a longer cuff. It is difficult to shorten these socks due to the nature of the leg pattern.
