Benet handed me a scarf, one he’d knitted. It was long and nettle-green and had a keyhole shape knitted into the end and a long fringe, and he’d stitched my name on it in runes. The edges were thick enough to hide lockpic wires in, I reckoned.

“It’s perfect,” I said, stroking the soft wool.

My first ever published pattern designed for the final book in Sarah Prineas’s Magic Thief Trilogy.

The Book is called The Magic Thief: Found and Conn, the quick-handed pickpocket turned wizard’s apprentice, is given the scarf as a gift by Benet, the knitting, baking bodyguard.

My scarf is a special Lock Pick Scarf with a keyhole in one end, a moss stitch wood effect around the keyhole, and thick ends to weave lock pick wires into for sneaky thieves.

They’re fabulous books of magic, dragon, cake and knitting bodyguards. I love them so am particularly squeeeeeeee about getting to be a part of this one.
