A really nice pair of pants that, with their simple design, are perfect for both everyday wear and special occasions. The trousers can be knitted with or without pockets.

The trousers are knitted from the bottom up. First, the legs are knitted separately, then the work is joined and knitted in the round for a short section until the button placket begins, at which point the work is knitted back and forth. The work is then divided into front and back pieces, and the left and right front pieces as well as the back piece are knitted separately. When these are finished, stitches are picked up for the suspenders on the front piece and knitted separately. These are then either knitted or sewn onto the back piece. Finally, the pockets are knitted.
