Beret No. 1 is a classic beret. It is worked from the bottom up in the round. As the work progresses, you will either change to double pointed needles or use the magic loop method.

SIZES

S/M (54-57 cm 21.25-22.5 inches), M-L (58-61 cm 22.75-24 inches)

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

2.5 mm (40 cm) US 2 (16 inches) circular needles

3 mm (60 or 80 cm) US 3 (24 or 32 inches circular needles

3 mm US 3 double pointed needles

GAUGE

In stocking stitch using 3 mm US 3 needles.

23 sts / 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches.
