The hat Droplets of Bergen is knit with two threads of the light fingering weight yarn Shetland soft held double. The droplets are worked using three shades of blue, graded from light to dark. By changing colours one strand of yarn at a time, a stunning dip-dye effect in the droplets is achieved.

The hat is knit at a gauge of 22 stitches * 28 rounds per 10 * 10 cm. The garter stitch hem is worked using 0.5-1 mm smaller needles than the rest of the hat.
