Bergslagen
Bergslagen is a region in central Sweden known for its rich mining history, vibrant culture, and stunning natural landscapes.
This pattern draws inspiration from the Bergslagen Horse, “Bergslagshästen™” —a traditional figurine designed by Margareta Nordahl. Its colours symbolise Bergslagen’s heritage in mining and iron production: deep black from coal, warm golden ochre from classic doorways, and crisp white from lime used in the furnace process.
This sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up with raglan decreases in the yoke.
We want to create patterns that are easy to follow, even for beginners. We have listed all the steps you need to follow in bullet points. This way, you can easily track your progress and mark the steps you have completed.
