My goal for this design was to make a crescent triangle shawl with lots of fun stitch variation alternating with soothing stockinette. I also made the pattern using stitches that require a minimum of counting yet create some lovely lace. I named it the Bermuda Triangle Shawl because my hope for you is that you enjoy getting “lost” in all the fun stitches.

Needles and Notions

  • US Size 5/3.75 mm circular needles that are at least 40 inches in length
  • One removable stitch marker to mark the front of your work and two more stitch markers to mark the garter stitch edges

Yarn
Two skeins of sock-weight/fingering-weight yarn with at least 437 yards per skein. I recommend using one semi-solid colorway for C1 and one variegated colorway for C2. For the sample I used The Winedark Sea for C1 and Afremov’s Farewell to Anger for C2, both dyed on Dream Sock.

Difficulty Level
This pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner and beyond.

Measurements
After blocking, the sample shawl was 23 inches top to bottom and 120 inches tip to tip.
