All too often knitters will slave over a special project then
feel it’s too precious to wear. Perhaps it’s the intricacy of
the design or the long hours of work required to bring
it to life. How could such a special thing belong in your
mundane life?

This is not that sweater.

Berries was conceived and designed to be an everyday
cardigan — the kind you throw on when you need to
run errands like picking up the kids, dropping off the dry
cleaning. etc. I based the design on the logan berry mitten
from The Mitten Book by Ingrid Gottfridsson and Inger
Gottfridsson. To set the design off, I’ve added a simple,
contrasting border.
