2 strands of yarn are held together throughout the pattern.

CONSTRUCTION
The mittens are worked seamlessly in the round from the cuff upwards with a textured stitch pattern on the back of the hand and a stockinette palm. The thumb gusset is shaped with increases, then the thumb stitches are placed on hold while the hand is worked to fingertips.

The thumb is then completed in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the lower edge to create a folded picot hem, which is sewn to the inside of the mitten.
