Needles
Size U.S. 1 (2.25 mm): Your preferred configuration for small circumference in the round: DPNs, long circular for magic loop, 2 shorter circulars, set of three flexible DPNs, 8–9” (20–23 cm) circular.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions
Stitch markers; stitch holder or scrap yarn; yarn needle.

Notes

  • Instructions are to be worked for both socks unless separate instructions are specified for Right Sock and Left Sock.

  • Patterning is worked with Intarsia technique. To work Intarsia in the rnd, odd rnds should be worked on the right side and even rnds on the wrong side using the Invisible Join method. This method uses yarnovers and decreases worked on alternate RS and WS rows to keep the piece joined.

  • Twist yarn threads when switching colors to avoid holes.
