Betty is my grandmother – an accomplished painter, generous host, master gardener, best friend of babies and dogs, the list goes on. She has also tried pretty much every handcraft I can think of. The yoke of this sweater draws inspiration from a bit of her embroidery I spied in her home. The slipped contrast-color stitches yield a unique texture and design element that is incredibly easy to work.

SIZES - see last photo on left for schematic
Finished bust measurement: 33.25 (37, 40.25, 44.25) (48, 51.75, 55.5) (59, 62.75, 66.5)” / 84.5 (94, 102, 112.5) (122, 131.5, 141) (150, 159.5, 169) cm finished bust circumference.

Garment is designed to be worn with 0-6” / 0-15 cm of positive ease. Choose a size that is around 0 to 6” / 0-15 cm larger than your bust.

Sample is modeled in Size 2 with 3” / 7.5 cm of positive ease.

YARN
MC: 865 (960, 1050, 1130, 1240) (1320, 1410, 1515, 1575) (1670, 1780) yards / 790 (875, 960, 1035, 1135) (1205, 1290, 1385, 1440) (1525, 1625) meters fingering weight yarn (shown in AT Haynes House Haynesville Fingering in colorway I Don’t Cough For My Own Amusement, 100% superwash merino, 437 yards / 400 meters per 3.5 ounce / 100 gram skein)

CC: 120 (130, 135, 145, 150) (160, 170, 175, 185) (190, 200) yards / 110 (115, 125, 130, 140) (145, 155, 160, 170) (175, 180) meters fingering weight yarn (shown in AT Haynes House Haynesville Fingering in colorway Another Pink, Terri?, 100% superwash merino, 437 yards / 400 meters per 3.5 ounce / 100 gram skein)

This pattern would work well with a yarn with good stitch definition. I’d recommend a springy yarn so that sweater holds it shape. Check out the teaser trailer for more suggestions on yarn and colorway choices.
