This airy camisole is meant to be a summer staple! Although you can definitely wear it during the colder months by layering hahah. Knitted mostly in the round, it has a graceful lace pattern at the bottom that makes it unique and special. Whether you knit it for yourself or as a gift, it’s certain to bring you joy.

The pattern is graded for 11 sizes, represented throughout the pattern by 1, 2, 3, 4 (5, 6, 7) {8, 9, 10, 11} in different colors.

Sizes graded to fit a bust circumference of: 61, 71, 81, 91 (101, 111, 122) {132, 142, 152, 162} cm / 24, 28, 32, 36 (40, 44, 48) {52, 56, 60, 64}”.

Gauge: 22 stitches x 32 rows in stockinette. The stitch gauge is more important than row gauge.

Yarn: any fingering/sport/DK weight that meets gauge.

Meterage/yardage: 340, 420, 470, 550 (630, 710, 810) {890, 990, 1080, 1170} meters/ 370, 465, 515, 600 (690, 780, 885) {980, 1080, 1180, 1280} yds for the long version with closed back and thicker straps.

Construction:
You start with a provisional cast on to work on the lace, since it’s supposed to be knitted top down. I added tutorials for three different ways of doing a provisional cast on in case you have trouble with it.
There’s two ways of constructing the camisole: in the first and original one, you knit the lace trim first, body and then triangular panels/straps; in the second one, you knit the panels/straps first, body and then the lace trim. Both are instructed in the pattern.

  • The body is knitted in stockinette until your desired length, entirely on the round.
  • The front of the garment has a deep V cut shape, creating a flattering silhouette. The back can either be knitted like the front- with a deep V cut- or closed and straight, providing a higher coverage. I include both options in the pattern.
  • The straps are made either of I-cord or stockinette and you can customize their thickness to your preferences; they are tied together to add a nice finishing touch and make it possible to easily adjust the neckline depth.
