A sweater knitted from the bottom up in two stranded yarn held together throughout. Body is worked in the round in a checkered pattern up to underarm and then front and back are separated and knitted flat individually. Sleeves are directly knitted down from body toward cuff in MC and CC held together. Finally, ribbing for hem and collar is knitted onto body.
For the checkered pattern, pick up one stitch at a time from each slipped stitch at right side edge of triangular or square motif from lower edge as you knit. (8 stitches in total)
