If you’ve ever had a hankering to knit a tiny sweater, need to make the perfect ornament to gift to family & friends, or want to practice your raglan sweater knitting before you move on to real (human-sized) thing, then Big Al’s Tiny Sweater is calling your name!

Materials: Circular knitting needles, 8-9 stitch markers, sock/fingering weight yarn, scrap yarn or stitch holders/stitch markers, tapestry needle, ruler

Yardage/Grams Needed: 8-10g (40-50 yds) of sock/fingering weight yarn

Gauge: 28 sts x 40 rows = 4” x 4” swatch.
Final sweater size: Approx. 5.5” wide x 3” tall
Since this isn’t actually going on someone, don’t stress about gauge!

Suggested Needles: US 2 (2.75mm) 32” circular needles OR whatever size you typically like to use for socks!

Techniques: Casting on, magic loop method, knitting in the round, holding stitches, increasing, picking up stitches, decreasing, casting/binding off

Construction: Knit top-down using a traditional raglan construction. Collar, body hem, and sleeve hems all use a k1, p1 rib pattern. Written using the magic loop method for knitting small circumferences.
