This Chart is one of five in my Big Cats series, they can be purchased together as an ebook at a 20% discount.

The pictured Tiger swatch was knitted using a 4ply weight yarn:
King Cole Merino Blend 4ply (100% Merino Superwash Wool – approx. 180m/204yds per 50g/1.76oz ball), see chart for the shades used.
Tension/gauge: 28 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm/4in using 3.25mm (UK 10)/US 3 needles, measured over stocking stitch after blocking.

The Tiger motif was added using Swiss Darning/duplicate stitch from the chart (see next page) after the background had been knitted. The, optional, whiskers were added using back stitch (see main photograph). You could add the motif using the intarsia method from the chart as you knit.

The motif could be used on a cushion/pillow cover, on a blanket, on the front or back of a jumper or the back of a cardigan. Any yarn weight can be used, just make sure you have enough room for the number of chart stitches and rows. The possibilities are endless!
