Tired of looking up at cloudy night skies?

Why not knit your own big friendly moon!

This amazing plush is a perfect size (12 inches in diameter) to sit on your desk or bookcase or even to hang from the ceiling as a source of astronomical inspiration. He’s also lovely to cuddle up to on your sofa or have as a bedtime friend.

As with all moons, he is pocked with craters and not quite round - make him extremely weathered and cratered or just barely marked, it’s all your choice!

The ButterflyLove pdf Big Friendly Moon knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and handy hints along the way. It only involves knitting flat.

This pattern is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter but please note that, unlike most ButterflyLove patterns, it’s a substantial project. I would recommend that you allow at least a week to knit your moon and finish it, so do plan ahead if it’s going to be a birthday or Christmas gift for a lucky loved one!

You can also contact me at any point if you need technical advice or have any other queries.
