Don’t worry too much about weaving in ends because all of the color changes at the ends of the rows will be knotted and enclosed in an envelope border. Full disclosure, you will still need to weave in the ends for the color changes on the big heart but it is so worth it to make such a heart warming gift ;o)

The DaisyGardenCrochet YouTube channel has a video tutorial showing how to make the foundation double crochet stitch used in the first row. No worries, you can absolutely start with a foundation chain if you prefer.
